Personal Life Coach – 10 Questions To Ask

To really know what’s going on inside your head and your heart, you need to have the answers, but what are the questions to those answers that will help guide us in the right direction? We all have dreams as a child and as we grow up we seem to lose sight of what we feel will make us happy.

You need to know what makes you tick. What is it that you wanted in life? Here are 10 questions that the personal life coach has for you to answer. I’m sure these will help point you in the right direction.

1. What do I really want?
I know that this question can be considered generic, but for you to get where you want to be, you need to know the answer to this question. It may also sound selfish, but isn’t it your life and you should what you want in it? (oops, you don’t need to answer that one)

2. Should I really change?
This is sort of a loaded question. One would think that if your life is good and you’re happy, you shouldn’t have to, but then again, change is good if it’s in a positive way.

3. What’s the bright side in all of this?
I’m a positive person and I try to find the positive in everyone and everything. Positiveness breeds positiveness and that goes for negativity as well.

4. Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
There’s always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes or shirt. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.

5. Have I done enough for myself?
There is nothing wrong with doing things for yourself, but you need to be aware of the fact the everything is good in moderation. Doing too much or too little for one self can be a bad thing.

6. Am I happy at where I am today?
It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!

7. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?
It’s hard for someone to actually answer that, but if you’ve been able to get dates or even more than that, you must be to some extent. You can always try to improve, change your wardrobe, exercise or even your attitude towards others. Just remember, whatever you change will be for your own benefit.

8. How much could I have?
There’s nothing wrong to want to have more or less of something, it’s just a matter of how much are you willing to work for it.

9. What motivates me?
There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may be the hardest part. So like in a buffet, try a little of everything.

10. What Really Makes You Tick?
In your life there is something that charges you up, but what is it. Whatever it is you need to recognize it and pursue it, but to think that it’s too hard is to already give up before you even start. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.

Personal Life Coach – 10 Ways To Take Control Of Your Life

When it comes to your life, you’re the boss. No one can take control of your life except you. Some people have asked the personal life coach questions about how can they take control of their lives. One of the main ways to make changes in your life to improve it it to be positive. A personal life coach would show you ways to take control over your own life.

People who have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) have the biggest hurdle to get over because they develop negative thinking patterns that cause them to become frustrated by the challenges that are presented to them. At times we all experience negativity, which makes it harder to move forward.

To be able to move forward, we need to practice positive thinking. Positive thinking helps people to focus on our strengths and accomplishments which will increase our happiness and motivation. Doing so will help us make progress in our lives and prevent us from feeling down and stuck.

The following tips will help you shift into a more of a positive thinking pattern.

1. Take Good Care of Yourself
When we take care of our bodies, we tend to feel better about ourselves. Get plenty of rest, exercise, and eat right.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For
If you are constantly reminded of the of the things that are right in our lives, challenges and stress don’t seem so bad. Take about a minute a day to appreciate the good things in your life.

3. Look for the Proof Instead of Making Assumptions
How many times have you thought that what bad mood someone was in had something to do with what your did or said? It’s a normal fear of not being liked or accepted, but our fears are not usually reality. If you think that you did or said something, don’t hesitate to ask them. Without proof, there’s nothing to worry about.

4. Refrain from Using Absolutes
Try to stay away from using words like always, never and can’t. Those words make it absolute. “You’re ALWAYS late”, “you NEVER listen” and “I CAN’T do that” are lines that will restrict you from positive thinking.

5. Detach From Negative Thoughts
If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach from it, witness it, and don’t follow it.

6. Squash the “ANTs”
In his book “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” Dr. Daniel Amen talks about “ANTs” – Automatic Negative Thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually reactionary, like “Those people are laughing, they must be talking about me,” or “The boss wants to see me? It must be bad!” When you notice these thoughts, realize that they are nothing more than ANTs and squash them!

7. Practice Lovin’, Touchin’ & Squeezin’ (Your Friends and Family)
I grew up in a house where hugs were an everyday occurrence. Positive physical contact with friends, loved ones, and even pets, is an instant pick-me-up.

8. Increase Your Social Activity
If your were to increase your social activity, you would decrease your loneliness. Make it a point to be around healthy and happy people and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

9. Volunteer for an Organization, or Help another Person
Whenever I help someone, I feel good about myself. Whatever you can do to help the community will come back to you in a positive way.

10. Use Pattern Interrupts to Combat Rumination
If you find yourself ruminating, a great way to stop it is to interrupt the pattern and force yourself to do something completely different. Rumination is like hyper-focus on something negative. It’s never productive, because it’s not rational or solution-oriented, it’s just excessive worry. Try changing your physical environment – go for a walk or sit outside. You could also call a friend, pick up a book, or turn on some music.

I know these tips will help you. Positive thinking doesn’t happen over night, but if you keep striving towards it, it will happen.
